We train our yoga students to become confident, loving and experienced international yoga teachers. Our yoga teacher training program has been developed by Dr Gaurav Malik and Kate Malik, a married team who live in Goa, India and have been training running these programs together for the past five years.
Our school philosophy is focused on our student’s experience of yoga during their stay with us as we know that if students have a truly authentic experience of yoga this can change not only their personal lives but the way they interact as teachers. We acknowledge a students understanding deepens through their own practice, as does their journey to becoming confident, knowledgeable teachers. We focus on our student’s own practice allowing them to blossom and develop their own wish to share these teachings with their own students when they return home.
We are trained in authentic, traditional yoga styles that have been practised for thousands of years in India and we bring these ancient techniques to our students.
We encourage the cultivation of self-love in our students and the ability to share that love with the people around them, including their future students. We love knowing that we have contributed to the world, just a little bit, through the love and understanding that flows through our graduates that it is shared into all corners of the world.
There are thousands of yoga techniques for us to practice. Individualism is a key component of an effective yoga practice. Ashtak Yoga School has the ancient knowledge of yoga and we know how to apply this in a practical way for our students.
